- Maddison Blackwell, the 6-foot-1 junior wing from Lincoln High School (Gahanna, Ohio) has verbally committed to Xavier.
"I chose Xavier because I was blown away with the campus and facilities on my visit there and I love the fact that its a big time school with a small town feel," Blackwell said in an email. "Xavier has a great family atmosphere and I also feel that this is a program that I can step into and make a impact. I had a great experience getting to know the coaches and team. (Assistant coach) Bryce (McKey) made the recrutting process a great experience."
Blackwell is rated a four-star prospect by ESPN HoopGurlz in the class of 2013. She is the first prospect in the class to commit to the Musketeers to date.
