- 3-star G Mikaala Shackelford pledges to Big Ten school
- Mikaala Shackelford of Plymouth, Minn., a three-star prospect in the 2013 class, said she has committed to Illinois.
The 5-foot-10 guard originallly committed to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, but reopened her recruitment when coach Matt Bollant left the program. She essentially followed Bollant to Illniois
Shackelford said she also considered Marist. She averaged 9.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals for Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minn.) and plays club ball for the Metrostars.
