- John Waring of Pacesetter Basketball, where O'Leary trains, told ESPN Hoopgurlz today that Catie O'leary gave her verbal committment to Loyola University in Chicago for the 2009-2010 basketball season. O'leary told Lady Ramblers coach Shannon Reidy that she would play for her in a phone call tuesday night. The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 18.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.7 steals per game last season. She was also named Big Eight Conference Player Of The Year for the second consecutive season, and will be a leading contender for the 2009 Wisconsin Miss Basketball award going into her senior season this fall.
