- Big West program adds third piece to its 2011 class
- Lauren Spargo, the 5-foot-11 guard from Valencia (Calif.) High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent with Long Beach State, according to her OC Elite club team coach Matt Hauser.
Spargo joined OC Elite this spring and was a bit of an unknown but after the April NCAA-certified viewing period she became a big target for schools in the West.
"She's a great kid, a great athlete," Hauser said, "and just a workhorse."
Spargo will join two other California prospects, three-star post Devin Hudson and three-star guard Bianka Balthzar, in head coach Jody Wynn's 2011 recruiting class.
