- F Jordan Henry commits to MAAC school
- Jordan Henry of Waxhaw, N.C., has committed to Iona College after a recent official visit, according to her father, Joe.
The 6-foot-3 forward also had offers from Longwood, Marshall, North Carolina-Asheville, Pacific and St. Francis (Penn.), Joe Henry said via email message.
Henry felt comfortable with the players, coaching staff and campus, according to Joe Henry. His daughter also likes Iona's style of play, and believes she'll fit right in.
"It was a very enjoyable but stressful journey, and I believe I've made the right decision for me," Jordan Henry said via her father.
Henry is the all-time leading scorer, rebounder and shot-blocker at Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, N.C.). She averaged 13.7 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.0 blocks as a junior and was one of only three players, girls or boys, in the county to average a double double. She was a first-team all-league and All-UnionCountyHoops.com as a junior and sophomore.
