Toni Young makes oral commitment to Oklahoma State
According to The Oklahoma, Del City basketball and track standout Toni Young verbally committed to play for Oklahoma State for the 2009-2010 season. The 6-foot-2 forward caught Oklahoma State coach Kurt Budke's attention when Young's high school team played in OSU's basketball team camp this past week. "They told her she didn't have to give them a commitment right away," said Del City coach Karri Sears. "But right after we left the office she said, 'Coach, this is where I want to play ball.' So, I said, 'Well, what are you waiting for?' So then we went right back in and she told them."
Young joins fellow teammate Desiree Jeffries as early commitments for the Cowgirls.
