2-star P ('13) Lisa Mintzer picks an A-10 program

Lisa Mintzer of Haverton, Pa., has verbally committed to La Salle University, according to her club team director, Linda Genther of the Philly Comets. The 6-foot-4 junior post at Cardinal O'Hara (Springfield, Pa.), which is currently ranked 47th in the POWERADE FAB 50, is the second prospect to commit to the Explorers in the 2013 class, joining 6-0 forward Deja Bullock of Magnolia, N.J.

"Lisa has been injured for the last two summers on the club circuit but is now healthy and contributing to her O?Hara team," Genther said in an email. "Her size and wing span can help LaSalle and coach Jeff Williams in the front court in the future."

Mintzer is rated a two-star prospect by ESPN HoopGurlz. Bullock has a three-star rating.

3-star F Deja Bullock pledges A-10 school

Deja Bullock of Magnolia, N.J., has committed to La Salle University, accoring to her trainer, Sean Smith.

The 6-foot forward is rated a three-star, watchlisted prospect in the 2013 class by ESPN HoopGurlz.

"Bullock is a very athletic wing with an improving mid-range jumper," Smith said. "Her leaping ability allows her to attack the basket and finish in traffic.

"Polishing up her jumper could make her a player to watch in years to come. She chose LaSalle because she likes the direction in which (coach) Jeff Williams is taking the program. Academically she said LaSalle was a great fit."

Bullock is averaging 12.8 points and 14.4 rebounds during her junior season at Triton (Runnemede, N.J.).

Brittany Murray of Falls Church, Va., has verbally committed to La Salle, according to Shawn Wright, an assistant coach for Riverdale Baptist High School (Upper Marlboro, Md.). The 6-foot-3 post also considered Appalachian State, Fairleigh Dickinson, Maryland-Baltimore County and Seton Hall.

Murray, a three-star rated prospect, is the third player and highest rated to commit to La Salle from the 2012 class. She joins two-star prospect Imani Bailey of Laurel, Md., a 5-10 guard; and Arielle Ward of Springfield, Mass., a 5-11 wing.

Arielle Ward of Springfield, Mass., has committed to La Salle University, according to her mother, Beth Ward.

The 5-foot-11 wing also considered the University of Delaware, University of Rhode Island, Loyola and William and Mary.

"She chose La Salle mainly because she really admired the coaching staff and Coach Jeff Williams' experience," said Ward. "La Salle's reputation for it's education and she feels she will be given a chance to grow as a player under the direction of Coach Williams."

Ward was selected for the Springfield Republican's Western Massachusetts first- team as a junior, and a two-time western Massachusetts champion at East Longmeadow High School in East Longmeadow, Mass.

G Imani Bailey picks an A-10 school

Imani Bailey, the 5-foot-10 guard from Laurel, Md., has verbally committed to La Salle, according to Tony Gorham, her Blue Star Maryland club team coach. The senior at Meade High School committed Sunday while on an official visit. She is the Explorers first commitment in the 2012 class.

"Jeff (Williams) and his staff really impressed her and she really felt at home with the team," Gorham said. "The school's location and distance from home also helped with her decision. She was also very impressed with the nursing program at La Salle."

PG Jordan Mosley commits to A-10 school

Jordan Mosley of Orlando, Fla., committed to LaSalle University on Tuesday, according to her mother, Pamela.

The 5-foot-9 point guard was a second-team, All-Central Florida pick by the Orlando Sentinel after her junior season at Boone High School.

After taking an official visit to the school over the Labor Day weekend, Mosley felt the A-10 school was the perfect fit for her," Pamela Mosley said in an email message. "The new head coach and coaching staff and their commitment and dedication to the program was key in her decision. The academics at LaSalle was also critical in her decision."

Callahan makes verbal commitment to LaSalle University

Philadelphia's Danielle Callahan gave her oral commitment to LaSalle University from the Atlantic 10 Conference according to Linda Genther who is a director of the Philly Comets club team. The 5-foot-6 point guard plays for nationally ranked Cardinal O'Hare which she helped win the Catholic League Championship. The team finished ranked No. 15 nationally by ESPN.com.
