"Having the opportunity to play for a great coach (Gary Blair and staff) and a program that recently won a national championship really excited Jada," Hegwood said in an email. "She feels she will thrive under Coach Blair's system and fit in perfectly with the players currently in the program."

Terry, who is ranked 50th in the ESPN HoopGurlz Super 60, committed more than a year ago to Texas, but reopened her recruiting in April when Gail Goestenkors stepped down as the Longhorns coach. The four-star prospect is the first commitment for the Aggies in the 2013 class.

The Aggies will host their entire 2012 recruiting class this weekend

Official visits for committed kids don't garner the same buzz as the undecided players. But for Texas A&M, its entire 2012 recruiting class will be making an official visit to College Station Oct. 15. The visit is the same weekend that ESPNU will be televising it's Midnight Madness from six campuses across the country, including the Aggies' campus.

Peyton Little, the 4-star guard from Abilene, Texas, who is ranked No. 29 in the ESPNU HoopGurlz 100, confirmed that all six of the recruits will there together in a text message.

In addition to little, coach Gary Blair's class includes No. 9 Courtney Williams of Houston; No. 14 Jordan Jones of DeSoto, Texas; No. 31 Courtney Walker of Oklahoma City, Okla.; No. 45 Chelsea Jennings of Fort Worth, Texas; and No. 72 Curtyce Knox of Humble, Texas, in addition to Little.

No. 32 Chelsea Jennings rounds out the defending champs' class

Chelsea Jennings, the 5-foot-9 guard from Fort Worth, Texas, has committed to Texas A&M, becoming the sixth player in the 2012 class to commit to the Aggies. She also strongly considered Baylor, Kentucky and Tennessee.

"The vibe that I got when I was there, the family atmosphere was the difference," Jennings said. "Everybody seemed to get along great."

Jennings is the final piece of the NCAA Championship team's encore recruiting class, and she will be joining three other teammates from within her own DFW Elite club program --Jordan Jones, Courtney Walker and Curtyce Knox. She's also very familiar with the other two Aggie commits Courtney Williams and Peyton Little.

"We're all pretty close," Jennings said, "and even the ones that aren't from DFW I feel like we know each other's strengths and weaknesses. I've played Peyton Little four times already this (year)."

Jennings, ranked as the No. 32 prospect in the 2012 class by ESPN HoopGurlz, will find out June 29, if she can play against Little again and the rest of the club circuit competition during the July NCAA-certified evaluation periods. She suffered a concussion and broken nose in a Memorial Day weekend game in Ohio and has been recovering for the entire month of June.

"I have had the opportunity to visit some colleges and weigh all my options," Walker said in a text message. "And I believe that A&M is where my heart is."

Walker, who was drawn to the school's engineering program as well as what head coach Gary Blair is doing on the court with his team, is the second player from the 2012 class to commit to the Aggies. Walker, the No. 34 player in the ESPNU HoopGurlz Super 60, will join No. 9 Courtney Williams, in Blair's signing class next fall. Williams, a 6-1 guard from Houston, committed in June.

Texas A&M is one of just three schools to have two commitments to date from the junior class, Arizona State and Georgetown being the others, and Blair's Aggies are the only program to have two ranked in the top 40 of the class.

Walker, a junior at Edmond Santa Fe High School, was an All State honorable mention selection as a sophomore. In July 2009, she verbally committed to Oklahoma but reopened her recruitment in September. She chose Texas A&M over Finalists Baylor, Oklahoma and Texas.
