After de-committing from Baylor last week, Recee' Caldwell of San Antonio, Texas, was back on the trail taking an unofficial visit to watch practice at the University of Texas last Sunday.

Getting Caldwell on campus appears to be a priority for all of the BCS-level schools in the Lone Star State and beyond, and for good reason. The 5-foot-8 point guard is ranked No. 8 in the class of 2014 by ESPN HoopGurlz and was a member of the USA Basketball 16U gold-medal team last summer. Given her early on-floor success, she appears to be one of the most highly recruited prospects nationwide.

Notre Dame has a Diamond

This weekend, Notre Dame will host class of 2013 post player Diamond Thompson on an unofficial visit. Thompson will be on campus for practice and then partake in activities leading up to the Fighting Irish's home football showdown against Maryland. Thompson's visit to South Bend sparks a change in focus from Notre Dame's 2012 class, which was very guard heavy. The Irish will now be looking for post depth, and the Lombard, Ill., resident is a quality post prospect with the potential to help boost the Big East team.

Alabama rolls out carpet

Last weekend the college football world was locked in as the two top-ranked teams in the country, LSU and Alabama, faced off in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Saturday night. While the game was big for the football teams on the field, it also was a big weekend for Alabama women's basketball. Alabama hosted two out-of-state prospects from the 2013 class -- No. 21 Halle Washington from Bossier City, La., and No. 36 Imani Wright from Texarkana, Texas. They were also able to get a trio of in-state 2013s on campus, including No. 37 Marques Webb from Montgomery and their two current commits, four-star guard Courtney Hunter and four-star wing Keonna Farmer, both of Birmingham. ESPNU HoopGurlz Watch List Class of 2014 forward Shakayla Thomas of Sylacauga, Ala., was in attendance for the game as well.

Garner takes two

As the scholarship offers continue to come in, Erin Garner from Philadelphia, Pa., continues to get out and visit schools. A class of 2014 prospect, Garner has already been on campus at St. Joseph's, will visit Temple this weekend and plans head to West Virginia next weekend. Garner, a 6-4 post on the ESPNU HoopGurlz Watch List, has received scholarship offers from all three schools. Her presence on the list is directly linked to her emerging as one of a handful of true back-to-basket post players nationwide in the sophomore class.
