Peyton Whitted had a solid summer with her Georgia Hoopstars travel team, and the junior at North Gwinnett (Suwanee, Ga.) vaulted her way into the ESPNU HoopGurlz Super 60 for the class of 2013. With her ability to make open shots or score with half hook shots around the rim, the 6-foot-3 power forward has seen her recruitment take off since the end of the July evaluation period.
She's been on the road quite a bit, including recent trips to Penn State and South Carolina. She already has been to Auburn, Miami and Purdue and has future trips to Marquette, Virginia, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest on the docket when time permits.

TCU coach Jeff Mittie is preparing his players for Big 12 play next year, taking on quality opponents this season in Oklahoma and Texas A&M. The Aggies were on campus for a pre-holiday matchup, and Mittie's staff had some of the state's top players on hand to watch them go toe-to-toe with the reigning national champions. Two class of 2014 prospects, Brooke McCarty of Clear Springs (League City, Texas) and Sydney Coleman of Cypress Ranch (Cypress, Texas) joined class of 2013 prospect Dominique Dillingham of Klein Collins (Spring, Texas) at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum for the marquee matchup. TCU didn't pull off the upset, but having those three prospects on hand sets the table for positive things to come as the Horned Frogs replace A&M as the state's fourth Big 12 representative.
Just before the holidays, Rebecca Greenwell of Owensboro, Ky., the No. 5 player in the ESPNU HoopGurlz class of 2013, took a trip to North Carolina to check out the schools in the Research Triangle -- Duke, North Carolina and North Carolina State. The junior guard at Owensboro Catholic (Ky.), who is out of action after tearing her ACL while playing for USA Basketball at the FIBA 3x3 championships in Italy, took the weekend to check out the three schools. This fall Greenwell made unofficial visits to Kentucky and Georgia. Greenwell is also planning a trip to Vanderbilt in the upcoming weeks.

Kristina Nelson of Buford (Ga.) has been on the move with a change of high schools, and she has also been proactive in her recruiting process. Nelson, the No. 30 player in the 2013 class, has made visits to Tennessee, Georgia Tech and Georgia in the past couple weeks. She also is planning more visits in the upcoming months, including a long-distance trip in the spring to UCLA. Nelson, who transferred to No. 41 Buford this season after playing for Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, Ga.), has previously visited Notre Dame, Auburn, Clemson and Georgia State.
