Eclipse Select (Ill.) moves to the top of the list this week following a loss by former No. 1 PDA (N.J.).

PDA's setback was to Stars of Massachusetts and leaves the teams tied for first in their division as the teams have split their meetings. Interestingly, both matches ended 2-1. Since Stars won the most recent encounter, it checks in at No. 5 this week. PDA, which falls out of the rankings, will be back in the top five at the next possible opportunity, which could come as early as next Thursday since three teams will be tested this weekend.

Each Thursday throughout the rest of the ECNL season, ESPNHS will offer a weekly glance at the top five teams in each age group.

These rankings are not predictive, but rather reactive to the results. In other words, the higher ranked team has accomplished something on the field to earn that position for now. As such, we expect quite a bit of turnover in the rankings throughout the rest of the ECNL season.
