By Sheldon Shealer & Chris Ackels | ESPNHS Staff

With No. 1 Eclipse Select done until June and No. 2 CASL Chelsea finished until the playoffs, everyone else will be battling for No. 3 in the ESPNHS ECNL Under-17 power rankings.

Changes to the rankings could start after this weekend's play as No. 4 Slammers FC and No. 5 Colorado Rush will be taking part in the ECNL San Diego Showcase.

No. 3 Dallas Sting won't play until after the completion of the Texas high school soccer playoffs, which starts next week.

Throughout the rest of the season, ESPNHS will offer a weekly glance at the top five teams in each age group.

It should be noted, these rankings are not predictive, but rather reactive to the results. In other words, the higher ranked team has accomplished something on the field to earn that position for now. As such, we expect quite a bit of turnover in the rankings throughout the rest of the ECNL season.
