Ohio Elite's loss to Slammers last week was the key result that altered this week's rankings.

Slammers check in at No. 5 following a 2-1 win over former No. 2 Ohio Elite in a very balanced under-16 race. Considering KCFC and Atlanta Fire are already finished, it's up to upcoming matches by Lonestar, So Cal Blues and Slammers to shuffle the order in future rankings.

Throughout the rest of the season, ESPNHS will offer a weekly glance at the top five teams in each age group.

It should be noted, these rankings are not predictive, but rather reactive to the results. In other words, the higher ranked team has accomplished something on the field to earn that position for now. As such, we expect quite a bit of turnover in the rankings throughout the rest of the ECNL season.
