ECNL U16 Power Rankings

No. 8 FC DELCO really proved a point this weekend. By beating Ohio Elite, FC DELCO remained undefeated against Flight A opponents. This Flight B squad gained one spot in this week's ESPNHS ECNL U-16 Power Rankings.

There was no movement in the top five as both No. 3 Slammers and No. 4 PDA had successful outings. No. 7 Dallas Sting was impressive this weekend with two different 5-0 wins, and Atlanta Fire's idle status continues to destabilize their ranking. They drop three spots to No. 9.

This age group is unique in that the No. 1 team has completed their regular season. But No. 2 Lonestar is right on their tail, and they'll have a chance to prove themselves over the next few weeks.

Throughout the rest of the season, ESPNHS will offer a weekly glance at the top ten teams in each age group. These rankings, indicative of the results of a team rather than a prediction of future outcomes, offer a sampling of some of the top talent in the game.

5	SoCal Blues 13-3-3	-- Last Week: 5	First and foremost, SoCal Blues is concerned about the dogfight with Slammers for first place in the SoCal Conference and in National Flight A. This will come down to the last game. Next Match: May 6 vs. West Coast FC
6	Michigan Hawks 14-5-6	1 Last Week: 7	The better Sting plays, the better Michigan Hawks looks. The Hawks beat No. 7 Sting at the Sanford Event, and their movement in our rankings depends partly on the Dallas club. Next Match: Playoffs, TBA
7	Dallas Sting 14-3-2	1 Last Week: 8	Two separate 5-0 wins this weekend made a convincing statement. Emma Heckendorn earned a hat trick in Saturday's win over TSC Hurricane. Next Match: May 12 vs. FC Dallas
8	FC DELCO 14-2-2	1 Last Week: 9	It was a huge weekend for DELCO, locking down wins over Ohio Premier and Ohio Elite. This Flight B squad remains undefeated against Flight A opponents. Next Match: May 19 vs. FC Bucks
9	Atlanta Fire 17-4-6	3 Last Week: 6	As we've mentioned before, this idle team is still at risk for lots of movement in our rankings. The teams around them played well, so they drop a few spots this week. Next Match: Playoffs, TBA
10	Mustang SC 11-3-3	-- Last Week: 10	A 2-1 win over De Anza Force may have gotten them back on track, and they've got just three games remaining in their season to try to hold on to the No. 10 spot. Next Match: May 5 vs. Washington Premier
