ECNL U17 Power Rankings

Lots of movement in the bottom half of the ESPNHS ECNL Under-17 Power Rankings this week, as Scorpions' dominating weekend earns a spot in our rankings. The Massachusetts club reappears after six unranked weeks.

No. 8 Real So Cal jumps two spots after handily beating Slammers last weekend. Real So Cal now sits in first place in the So Cal Conference asnd is vying for a playoff spot in National Flight A. No. 9 Mustang drops a spot after a slow weekend in Washington, and No. 10 FC Virginia loses ground as it is leapfrogged by other hot teams.

Throughout the rest of the season, ESPNHS will offer a weekly glance at the top 10 teams in each age group. These rankings, indicative of the results of a team rather than a prediction of future outcomes, offer a sampling of some of the top talent in the game.

2011-12 Elite Clubs National League Power Rankings: Under-17

Last Week: 1
Eclipse started the season 14-0 and gave up just three goals in 14 games. Now the team sits at 18-1, having given up just seven goals all year. Leading scorer is Lauren Sajewich.

CASL Chelsea

Last Week: 2
The defending ECNL National Champions have 13 players already committed to Division I schools. The team has wins over Sting, Texans, FC Virginia and Concorde Fire.

Last Week: 3
A Saturday game with Solar-Chelsea was rescheduled for later this month, so Texans are now preparing to drive down to Austin for a matchup with Lonestar this weekend.

Last Week: 4
The Hurricane finished up their season with a pair of convincing wins over FC Dallas and Solar-Chelsea. Anna Beffer and Katherine Sprouse both had tricks last weekend.

Dallas Sting

Last Week: 5
Sting will do their best to rebound this weekend with FC Dallas on the slate. It is trying to recover from a winless weekend in late April that dropped them in our rankings.

Colorado Rush is in a vulnerable position in our rankings, as the teams just below them have been on a hot streak. They'll have to wait and see where they finish in June.

Scorpions is riding a seven-game win streak since it was knocked out of the rankings in mid-April. McKenzie Meehan had six goals last weekend en route to two victories.

Real So Cal

A 3-0 win over Slammers on Saturday catapults Real So Cal to the No. 8 spot this week. This team is riding a six-game unbeaten streak and is battling for first in the So Cal Conference.

Mustang SC
Last Week: 8
Mustang drops a spot this week after a win and a tie in Washington. The offense just couldn't find its rhythm, scoring just one goal on the weekend.

FC Virginia

With the teams around them playing well, FC Virginia is vulnerable to move around in our rankings. This team is done for the regular season and awaits its postseason opponent.
