ECNL U14 Power Rankings

Basically, it's down to the playoffs.

For the second straight week, there was not a single change in the ESPNHS ECNL Under-14 Power Rankings. Considering eight of the 10 ranked teams are finished with regular-season play, it's highly likely the only future change will occur as a result of the playoffs.

While there was no movement, there were several important results -- especially for Real Colorado, which remained perfect after winning four matches in six days, including three in three days over the weekend.

Throughout the rest of the season, ESPNHS will offer a weekly glance at the top 10 teams in each age group. These rankings, indicative of the results of a team rather than a prediction of future outcomes, offer a sampling of some of the top talent in the game.

Last Week: 1
Zoe Redei with 13 goals and Alissa Gorzak with 12 lead a high-powered offense that has seen 14 different players score for Eclipse Select this season.

Last Week: 2
Real Colorado rolled off wins over Las Vegas Premier, Sereno and Colorado Storm on consecutive days then beat Colorado Rush on Wednesday to stay perfect.

Last Week: 3
PDA edged FC DELCO 1-0 last week at the PDA Complex to close out regular-season play. This squad figures to get a high seed at the playoffs later this month.

FC Dallas

Last Week: 4
Haley Berg has 14 goals and 13 assists this season to pace the FC Dallas offense. The team has clinched the Texas Conference title ahead of a trio of challengers all bidding for second place.

Charlotte SA

Last Week: 5
Charlotte SA has the fourth-highest points-per-match average in the ECNL. The team also leads a talented Southeast Conference race over Concorde Fire and Atlanta Fire.

Arsenal FC

Last Week: 6
Although Arsenal closed out its regular season with a loss two weeks ago, the team remains in the running for a high seed at the upcoming ECNL playoffs.

FC Virginia

Last Week: 7
Sierra Lam leads FC Virginia with 11 goals this season while Christina Davey has nine goals. The team's strong showing could net a division championship this season.

FC Bucks

Last Week: 8
FC Bucks' showdown with FC DELCO was postponed by rain last weekend. The contest will be held this week and marks the end of regular-season play for both teams.

Valerie Koerber scored twice as the San Diego Surf cruised to a 5-0 victory over the SoCal Blues. The Surf is 7-1-1 in their last nine matches.

Atlanta Fire played only two matches in May, but the 2-0 showing, including a revenge win over Concorde Fire, earned this team a top 10 position.
