September's most -- and least -- wanted
How will you spend September? We've got the lowdown on everything you need to see, watch and listen to this month.
Most And Least WantedMost Wanted
The wait for the Dr. Dre's oft-delayed "Detox" may soon be over. In an interview over the summer, Snoop Dogg confirmed Dre's first album since 1999 is finally done. Could that mean a 2008 release date? We'll believe it -- not to mention camp out overnight to buy it -- when we see it.
No need to sugarcoat things -- the end of summer ain't fun. School starts back up, the weather turns. But the start of football season makes it all seem worthwhile. The promise of Friday Night Lights, college football on Saturdays and the NFL on Sundays makes the other four days tolerable.
"My Best Friend's Girl"
Sandwiched between the summer blockbusters and end-of-the-year Oscar contenders, September is always a dead time for movies. But what did we do to deserve this train wreck of a comedy? Really, Jason Biggs and Dane Cook? We thought Cook's 15 minute of fame were up three years ago.
Gotta give it up to Kanye. Dude's given us a lot of gifts. Three of his own classic albums, countless dope beats for icons like Jay-Z and a legendary tour. But it'll be tough to forgive him for the most heinous fashion disaster since spandex. Shutters weren't even hot when they were hot in the '80s.
Can't Make This Stuff UpIn June, the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association denied a recommendation by the sportsmanship committee that would prevent students from being shirtless and wearing body paint at high school sporting events. No word if they also tried to ban students from holding signs for fear of paper cuts.

Sept. 12 -- DE NIRO, PACINO, FITTY IN "RIGHTEOUS KILL"
