Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita (SS) is in search of a head cross-country coach for the upcoming 2012 season. More details on the coaching vacancy can be found on the William S. Marina High School in Huntington Beach (SS) is seeking two assistant coaches for the upcoming cross county season. We are in need of a frosh/soph and jv boys and girls coach. Marina has been one of the top teams in the state the last few years with boys Sunset League Championships in 2009 and 2010 ( along with two top 10 finishes in CIF) and a girls championship in 2012. The girls were also third in the state in division 1 last year. All of the athletes in our program the last few years have been home grown, IE: we had no transfers. Most start at the lower levels, which make the coaches at that level very important. There is coaching pay for both summer and regular season. The Sunset League is one of the top leagues every year, so the level of competition is high. Summer practice times are 8:00am-10:00 am starting July 9. Viewpoint School in Calabasas, CA (SS) seeks a positive, energetic assistant coach to work with our co-ed. cross country program for the fall 2012 season. Candidates are expected to be able to run with athletes. Practices will be held during summer, beginning July 9, from 7:00am-9:00am, and in the fall from 3:45pm-5:45pm. Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego, CA (SD) is seeking a High School Assistant Cross Country Coach. The MC program is a strong one that competes in a tough league and we also host one of the larger XC Invites in the state. Martin Luther King HS in Riverside, CA (SS) is seeking an assistant coach for the long and triple jump for the 2013 season and beyond. Candidates should have a knowledge of technique, training and should be comfortable coaching both boys and girls of all ability levels. Northwood High School(Irvine-SS) is looking for a knowledgeable, energetic assistant coach to work with our cross country program. We have a solid program, with a girls team that has been to State 3 years in a row and returns 4 of our top 5 and a developing boys program, with several good young runners. The position will mainly consist of helping develop the boys program, but candidates need to be comfortable coaching both genders and all ability levels.
