JUNIPERO SERRA — BOYS' BASKETBALL
The Class of 2011 in Southern
California is loaded with talented
big men. Brea Olinda's Kyle Caudill is
pushing 7 feet and already has
offers from USC and Oregon State.
But Johnson is the best of the bunch.
The 6-foot-8 sophomore is rated the
nation's No. 23 player in his class in
the ESPNU Terrific 25. Unlike a lot of
bigs his age, Johnson already possesses
an imposing frame and uses it to
his advantage in the paint. He is an
excellent rebounder with good athleticism
for his size and some of the
best hands around. There's a lot of
upside to this young star and watching
him and Caudill battle it out for
the top spot in the area will be fun.
