Daily Racing Form

The National Thoroughbred Racing Association will give radio host Don Imus $90,000 to wager on the Oct. 27 Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, with all proceeds going to charity.

Imus, who has a nationally syndicated talk show called "Imus in the Mornings," will bet $10,000 on each Breeders' Cup race and also bet $10,000 on the ultra pick six, the NTRA said. Imus will be assisted by Mike Francesca, a New York sports radio host.

Any winnings from the wagers will be split between two charities, the Imus Ranch and the NTRA Charities New York Heros Fund. Regardless of how the bets fare, the NTRA said it will guarantee a minimum donation of $50,000.
