ARCADIA, Calif. -- Wilko, a two-time winner in England this year, has been acquired privately by Paul Reddam and will be pointed for the $1.5 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Lone Star Park on Oct. 30.

Reddam said the deal was finalized Wednesday and that Wilko will start for trainer Jeremy Noseda in the Juvenile. Wilko will be sent to trainer Craig Dollase in California following the Breeders' Cup.

Wilko has won 2 of 10 starts, but has yet to win a stakes. Recently, Wilko finished fourth in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster on Sept. 10. He returned two weeks later and finished third in the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes at Ascot.

Reddam acknowledged it will be gamble to send a colt who has never started on dirt into the Breeders' Cup, but said this is the year for an attempt.

"I don't think the 2-year-olds are the strongest group," Reddam said. "He doesn't have the turn of foot you need over there for top-class grass horses. He's by Awesome Again and he's bred for dirt."

Reddam has four Breeders' Cup hopefuls that he owns solely or in a partnership. Reddam will have Pt's Grey Eagle in the Sprint, Elloluv in the Distaff, and Sharp Lisa in the Juvenile Fillies. Elloluv and Pt's Grey Eagle are trained by Dollase; Sharp Lisa is owned in partnership and is trained by Doug O'Neill.
