NEW ORLEANS - She's a Devil Due will try to resume her winning ways Saturday when she makes her 3-year-old debut in the Fair Grounds Oaks. The third-place finisher in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Nov. 4 at Churchill Downs shipped in from Florida for the $350,000 stakes on the day before colts contest the $750,000 Louisiana Derby. She's a Devil Due will face eight other fillies in the 1 1-16-mile Grade 2 Oaks. Trained by Ken McPeek, She's a Devil Due won her first four starts last year before the Breeders' Cup. Two of her rivals Saturday will be Mystic Lady, a winner of two stakes taken off the turf, who shipped in from Florida, and Irguns Angel, sixth in Santa Anita's Grade 1 Las Virgenes, in her last start. Three other contenders are the Fair Grounds-based Lakenheath, winner of the Silverbulletday; Wood Sprite, winner of the Tiffany Lass, and Beloved by All, third in the Silverbulletday. Each starter will carry 121 pounds. The field in post-position order is Lakenheath, Corey Lanerie; Scoop, Lonnie Meche; Irguns Angel, Jose Valdivia; Beloved by All, Donnie Meche; She's a Devil Due, Mark Guidry; Real Cozzy, Eddie Martin Jr.; Wood Sprite, Larry Melancon; Mystic Lady, Robby Albarado, and Blue Springs, Frank Lovato Jr. Lakenheath and Scoop are an entry.
