Five free agents worth the gamble

Dexter Fowler's consistency puts him on David Schoenfield's list of five free agents teams should consider signing.

The Broncos way back in Week 1 led Baltimore by six points (19-13) late in regulation. Darian Stewart picked off Joe Flacco on third-and-16 to seal the outcome. How much more can the Broncos ask from their defense?

Unless Panthers score and tie or take lead, entirely possible Peyton has thrown his last NFL pass, no?

Peyton Manning sacked five times

This is the second time the Broncos QB has been sacked five times in a postseason game. Only two QBs have won Super Bowls after being sacked five times: Roger Staubach (Super Bowl XII) and Brett Favre (Super Bowl XXXI).

Marshawn Lynch leaves us waiting

The Broncos' defense has been on the field for 63 plays (44 for Carolina's D). This is where the Broncos' depth up front must serve them. Carolina is a powerful team that can impose its will. I think Cam Newton must win it with his legs.

Dave Tuley ESPN Staff Writer

Defenses continue to dominate. Both teams have gone over 2.5 sacks (and over 5 combined sacks). Props on whether Peyton Manning and Cam Newton would throw INTs both cashed (and over 1.5 combined INTs). Ten punts is sitting on combined over/under 10 right now.

Philly Brown is out for the game with a concussion. Look for rookie Devin Funchess to get more snaps.
