"That's up to the front office and Ryan Fitzpatrick," Smith said. "Why would I speak on that?" Smith cut off the reporter's follow-up questions. Otherwise, he handled the interrogation well, saying he sees Fitzpatrick's absence as "an opportunity." Smith believes he has improved considerably from his days as an erratic starter.
