When it gets to be too much -- the fawning from coaches on the sideline opposite his Woodbridge (Va.) High School, the attention from every major football program that considered itself prestigious enough to offer him a scholarship -- Da'Shawn Hand jumps back in time two years.

"Play like it's still my freshman year," Hand said, a refrain that has grown more familiar the further removed he gets from that 2010 season.
