All of that starts with coach Jimbo Fisher's turn at the controls following Bobby Bowden. Fisher inherited a roster that was light years from the ones that ruled the ACC.
Sure, there were some talented players, but the depth chart wasn't filled with the quality needed to play at a championship level.
Fisher built a staff that was filled with relentless recruiters. James Coley and Eddie Gran were huge in South Florida, while Dameyune Craig started picking top talents out of Alabama.
