How do you respond when a team throws a pitch behind your back? For Chase Utley it would be to hit two home runs, including a grand slam against the Mets. The Dodgers' infielder has five RBIs in seven innings to help his team to a 6-0 lead.

Dodgers pitcher Kenta Maeda recovered impressively after taking a line drive off his right hand in the first inning. He gave up no runs on two hits to the Mets and was removed after five innings, having thrown 75 pitches.

Syndergaard ejected for throwing behind Utley

Mets ace Noah Syndergaard was tossed in the third inning Saturday after buzzing a 99 mph fastball behind Chase Utley, but Utley struck back, homering twice, including a seventh-inning grand slam.

And in the night's most awkward moment so far, Chase Utley steps back up to the plate after Noah Syndergaard's pitch went behind him. Syndergaard and Mets manager Terry Collins ejected.

The Dodgers' Kenta Maeda remained in Saturday's game despite getting hit in the right hand/wrist by a Michael Conforto comebacker in the first inning. Conforto reached first base on a single as the ball rebounded toward third base. Maeda was visited by a trainer and Dodgers manager Dave Roberts but remained in the game after throwing a few warm-up pitches.

The Dodgers optioned teenage left-hander Julio Urias back to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday. Urias, 19, lasted just 2 2/3 innings during his major league debut Friday in New York. To add depth to the bullpen, the team selected the contract of right-hander Casey Fien from Oklahoma City.
