Silas Redd out with right knee injury

LOS ANGELES -- USC tailback Silas Redd has been ruled out for the Trojans' game Saturday against Stanford due to a right knee injury.

Redd missed the first five games of the season with an injury to his left knee that happened in spring ball. In the five games since his return, the senior has 76 carries for 351 yards and a touchdown, but he left the Cal game last week after landing awkwardly on his right knee and did not practice this week.

USC leading rusher Tre Madden is listed as probable for the game. Madden has been battling a hamstring injury in recent weeks, so the Trojans might be relying primarily on Buck Allen and Ty Isaac when it comes to the run game against the Cardinal. In the past two games, Allen has 268 yards on 22 carries with five touchdowns.

In other injury news for the Trojans, standout defensive end Leonard Williams (shoulder) and tight ends Xavier Grimble (ankle) and Randall Telfer (knee) also are listed as probable for Saturday.
