Uribe returns following a three-game rehab stint at advanced Class A Rancho Cucamonga. He had been sidelined since May 14 with a left wrist injury.
To clear a roster spot, the Dodgers optioned rookie infielder Alex Castellanos to Triple-A Albuquerque. Castellanos was called up for the first time just 11 days ago.
Uribe went 3 for 10 with a triple and a home run with the Quakes. Although he was the Dodgers' primary third baseman before the injury, he wasn't in Monday's starting lineup. Rookie Elian Herrera is starting at third base.
Signed to a three-year, $21 miillion deal prior to last season, Uribe is hitting .250 with one homer and 10 RBIs in 25 games this campaign.
Castellanos, 25, was promoted from Albuquerque on May 31 after All-Star center fielder Matt Kemp went on the 15-day DL for the second time this season. Castellanos hit .143 (3 for 21) and struck out seven times in 11 games.
