Adam Kennedy put on 60-day DL
To replace Kennedy, the Dodgers have reinstated shortstop Dee Gordon from the 60-day disabled list.
Kennedy, 36, hit .262 in 86 games for the Dodgers this season, making 25 starts at third base and 40 at third, with the team going 24-16 in those games. Kennedy started Friday's game in San Francisco and went 1 for 2.

The team chose the 60-day DL for Kennedy to clear room on its 40-man roster for some more minor-league reinforcements.
Fife is a candidate to start if Clayton Kershaw has any further issues with the sore hip that caused him to miss Sunday's start in San Francisco. Kershaw is scheduled to pitch Tuesday night in Arizona.
Gordon tore a ligament in his right thumb sliding into third base on July 4. At the time, he led the major leagues with 30 stolen bases. He was hitting .229 with 36 runs in 78 games.
Fife, 25, made three starts for the Dodgers, going 0-1 with a 2.16 ERA. This is Herrera's third stint with the Dodgers this season. The Dodgers now have 34 players on their active roster.
