The Lakers have released their roster that will represent the team in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Highlighting the 11-man roster are second-round draft picks Devin Ebanks, selected No. 43 out of West Virginia, and Derrick Caracter, picked with the No. 58 selection out of the University of Texas El Paso.
Other notable names include Gerald Green, the high-flying forward selected out of high school by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2005 draft before bouncing around to Minnesota, Houston and Dallas in his four years in the league and playing in Russia last season and D.J. Strawberry, a 2007 second-round pick by Phoenix who has NBA experience at point guard.
The team also includes Rob Kurz, 6-9 forward with 3-point range who played 40 games with Golden State in '08-09 and Courtney Sims, a 6-11 center who has received call-ups from Indiana, Phoenix and New York in the last couple of seasons while playing in the D-League.
The rest of the roster is rounded out by guards Ibrahim Jaaber and Frank Robinson, forward Ben McCauley (who played on the Lakers Summer League entry last year) and centers Andrew Naymick and Tyler Sanborn.
The head coach for the team is Chuck Person. He will be assisted by Bill Bertka and Rasheed Hazzard.
The Lakers games will be played at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavillion on Friday, July 9 vs. Detroit; Saturday, July 10 vs. Denver; Monday, July 12 vs. New York; Tuesday, July 13 vs. Sacramento; and Thursday, July 15 vs. San Antonio.
