Ron Artest has thrown his fair share of parties over the years but he's never thrown one to disparage another player and he's not about to start now.
Fliers for a purported party in New York have been circulating around the internet this week claiming Friday's event would be the "[Expletive] LeBron" edition.
Artest said he will be taking legal action against the parties behind the flier, which contains a picture of Artest as well as the Los Angeles Lakers logo.
"I am in no way associated with the night club party that is being promoted in New York City on July 16th that disparagingly refers to a fellow NBA player," Artest said in a statement.
"We are in the process of pursuing legal action against all entities involved who are using my name, image and likeness in an illegal manner, without my prior knowledge or authorization."
Artest won his first NBA title in an 11-year career this season when the Lakers defeated the Boston Celtics in seven games.
