Former UCLA forward Reeves Nelson will play professionally in Lithuania after being dismissed from the Bruins last week, UCLA coach Ben Howland said Thursday.

Nelson was the team's leading scorer and rebounder but had a rocky career under Howland. Nelson was suspended multiple times for behavior and poor body language.

Nelson was suspended for one game earlier this season -- a loss to Middle Tennessee State -- and then reinstated for the Bruins' trip to the Maui Invitational. But he missed the plane to Maui and was suspended for the first half against Chaminade.

Nelson then was benched in the second half against Texas.

Nelson was averaging 5.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in six games this season.
