USC Trojans defensive back Brian Baucham suffered an "unspecified breathing issue" following USC's 27-9 win versus California on Saturday at the Coliseum and is still in the hospital, a source close to the situation told the Los Angeles Times.

The Times reported that Baucham was on a ventilator in intensive care over the weekend. He improved Monday and was taken off the ventilator, the source said.

Baucham, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound senior, had three tackles Saturday before receiving medical attention on the sideline and being taken to the hospital by ambulance, the Times reported.

According to the newspaper, the USC athletic department would not comment on the player's situation.
