Anaheim Ducks general manager Bob Murray told the Orange County Register that he will speak with Teemu Selanne this weekend to determine whether the Finnish winger will return to the NHL for the 2012-13 season.

Selanne, who will turn 42 on Tuesday, led the Ducks in scoring last year with 66 points in 82 games.

Selanne has 1,406 career points with four teams over 19 NHL seasons and would move into the top 15 all time with 19 more points.

Saku Koivu, Selanne's longtime friend and fellow Finn, re-signed with Anaheim for one year and $3 million in May.

Selanne, who has spent parts of 13 seasons with the Ducks, has considered retirement every offseason since Anaheim won the Stanley Cup in 2007.

Information from The Associated Press contributed to this report.
