ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Anaheim Ducks captain and leading scorer Ryan Getzlaf has been scratched from Sunday night's game against the Vancouver Canucks because of an upper-body injury.

Getzlaf has 10 goals and 22 points through his first 18 games, helping Anaheim vault to the top of the NHL overall standings.

The nine-year veteran, one of only five players on the Ducks' roster who helped them win their first Stanley Cup in 2007, recorded his first career hat trick with three goals in the first period of Friday night's 6-2 victory over Buffalo.
