Clayton Kershaw had not been removed in the middle of an inning this season. He was Sunday and Curtis Granderson delivered a game-tying triple off Adam Liberatore.

The reactions of Clayton Kershaw and Kenley Jansen tell the story as the Mets tie it up. Dave Roberts doesn't use Jansen, who had been warming up, for the four-out save, and Curtis Granderson triples off Adam Libertore. The only Dodgers who should have pitched were Kershaw and Jansen.

The Mets have sold out five games this season. Three have come this weekend against the Dodgers. I see what you did there Chase Utley.

Double-digit strikeouts for Clayton Kershaw tonight, the seventh time he has hit the double-digit mark in his last eight games. The 49th time in his career.

Asdrubal Cabrera's home run in the sixth inning was the first hit off Clayton Kershaw in six starts during the month of May. The last home run Kershaw gave up was April 26. It was just the fourth home run the left-hander has allowed this season.

The Dodgers got the ultimate scare in the fifth inning, when Clayton Kershaw's bat broke on contact and the barrel swung around and hit the right side of his head. He appeared to be OK and came out to pitch in the bottom of the inning. The Dodgers already had batting injuries to two other pitchers: Scott Kazmir (wrist) and Alex Wood (triceps).

No pitcher has ever recorded their first 100 strikeouts with as few as five walks, until Clayton Kershaw hit that mark Sunday. The previous best was Cliff Lee in 2010, who hit 100 strikeouts with seven walks. SOURCE: Elias.

The slide rule is a gray area, but the main way to call it in my mind: Use common sense. So good decision there by the umpires. Corey Seager's was clean and not close to dirty, and the Mets had no chance of turning the double play. That's the way it should be called.

Clayton Kershaw worked his way around a leadoff double in the first inning. Mets probably still satisfied with making Kershaw throw 19 pitches in the opening frame.

Dodgers looking at college hitter

In his latest mock draft, Keith Law now has the Dodgers picking Virginia catcher Matt Thaiss with the No. 20 pick and Vanderbilt right-hander Jordan Sheffield with the No. 32 pick. Los Angeles tends to value good-stats college guys but it has also scouted a few high school players. Law: Mock draft 2.0 (Insider)

Bartolo Colon takes the mound for the home team in the rubber match against Clayton Kershaw, who is looking to become the first pitcher with 4 shutouts in a month since Orel Hershiser did in 1988. Live on ESPN, WatchESPN

How did Dodgers OF Trayce Thompson watch his brother Klay's 40-point, 11 3-pointer performance for the Warriors on Saturday? It wasn't easy. The Dodgers were on the bus back to their NYC hotel so Thompson kept track via score apps on his phone before reliever Adam Liberatore found a live feed of the game.

Who will Angels take with the No. 16 pick?

In his latest mock draft, Keith Law now has the Angels selecting high school outfielder Taylor Trammell with the No. 16 pick. However, Law is hearing this pick could go in a different direction. Law: Mock draft 2.0 (Insider)
