A day after the Dodgers were held to one hit by the Cubs, they returned the favor with their own combined one-hitter. The Dodgers' 5-0 victory Tuesday countered the Cubs' 2-0 triumph Monday. Scott Kazmir pitched six scoreless and Corey Seager hit a three-run home run.

Dodgers reliever Joe Blanton stepped up with two scoreless innings in support of Scott Kazmir, who pitched six scoreless. In five two-inning outings this season, Blanton has given up just one run and it came Friday at New York. The Dodgers lead the Cubs 2-0 in the ninth inning.

The veteran's offensive production took a tumble in late April, when he went 0-for-20 on a six-game homestand. He has been productive of late, going 14-for-37 since May 21, including eight hits in the recent three-game series at New York against the Mets.

Injuries just keep on coming for the Dodgers as Yasiel Puig was a late scratch Tuesday with a sore left hamstring. The news comes as starter Alex Wood is being pointed toward the DL because of a triceps injury. Kenta Maeda is also experiencing soreness in his right hand after getting hit with a line drive Saturday.
