Dodgers seek Erisbel Arruebarruena

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Cuban shortstop Erisbel Arruebarruena are close to reaching an agreement, according to a source.

Arruebarruena will travel from Haiti to the United States this week to undergo a physical, a mandatory requirement to complete the deal, the source said.

Although he established his residence in Haiti, the player was assessed by Major League organizations in the Dominican Republic.
