Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants Clippers

LAS VEGAS -- Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. said he has interest in buying the Los Angeles Clippers, hours after NBA commissioner Adam Silver banned owner Donald Sterling for life and said he would urge league owners to force Sterling to sell the team.

Another boxing superstar, Oscar De La Hoya, also said Tuesday that he'd be interested in owning a piece of the team.
