Dodgers activate catcher A.J. Ellis

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers activated catcher A.J. Ellis from the 15-day disabled list before their game with the Miami Marlins on Wednesday night.

Ellis went 0-for-4 as the Marlins routed the Dodgers 13-3.

Ellis had been out since April 5 and underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee April 8. Ellis, a seven-year veteran, appeared in the Dodgers' first seven games and was batting .167 without an extra-base hit, but he is widely credited with being a key to the Dodgers' ...
