Ducks, Flames swap backup goalies

The Anaheim Ducks, still in the hunt for a playoff berth, sent defenseman Ryan Whitney and a 2010 sixth-round draft pick to the Edmonton Oilers for Lubomir Visnovsky.

Visnovsky, also a defenseman, is considered a power-play specialist, with 40 of his 88 career goals resulting from a man-advantage situation. He has 10 goals and 22 assists and just a minus-4, an accomplishment on a dreadful team that is dead last in the league.
