Scully released from hospital

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Vin Scully, the Los Angeles Dodgers' legendary broadcaster and a member of baseball's Hall of Fame, was released from a West Hills hospital on Friday morning after an overnight stay.

Scully, who was admitted after falling and hitting his head at his home, is expected to travel as scheduled to the team's spring-training facility this weekend and be in the broadcast booth for Sunday's Cactus League game against Cleveland.

Scully issued a statement upon his release.
