Kobe Bryant scores 26,000th point

DENVER -- Kobe Bryant backed down his defender to the mid-post and rose up to shoot a turnaround jump shot like he has countless times in his 15-year NBA career.

When the ball fell through the net it counted for just a little bit more than two points.

Bryant's jumper with 11:10 remaining in the third quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday gave him 17 points for the game and 26,000 for his career.
