Andre Ethier runs hit streak to 29

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier extended his hitting streak to 29 games, the longest in the major leagues in almost two years, with a bloop single just over the glove of leaping Chicago Cubs second baseman Darwin Barney with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning on Tuesday night.

The hit came off Cubs right-hander Ryan Dempster.
