Jonathan Broxton has elbow surgery

Los Angeles Dodgers closer Jonathan Broxton underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow Monday morning, a team spokesman said. During the procedure, which was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, a bone spur and associated loose bodies were removed.

Broxton will begin his rehab program in the next few days, and he should be ready to begin a throwing program within six to eight weeks, the team spokesman said.
