Ducks pick up Niklas Hagman

In a bid to drum up more offense on a team that ranks last in the NHL in scoring, the Anaheim Ducks on Monday claimed left wing Niklas Hagman on re-entry waivers from the Calgary Flames.

Hagman, 31, scored 27 goals four seasons ago for the Dallas Stars, the start of three consecutive 20-goal seasons. He was traded to Calgary midway through the 2009-10 season in a deal that brought Dion Phaneuf from Toronto. He scored 17 goals in 106 games for the Flames.
