Eric Bledsoe expected out 6-8 weeks

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Clippers second-year guard Eric Bledsoe suffered a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee during the five-month NBA lockout and is expected to be out 6-8 weeks from Friday.

Bledsoe, a 2010 first-round pick out of Kentucky, underwent surgery on the knee on Oct. 7 in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala. The surgery was performed at the office of notable sports physician Dr. James Andrews.
