Lakers' Mike Brown misses game

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike Brown left Staples Center shortly before tipoff of the team's 103-97 win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday because of personal reasons.

Assistant coach John Kuester assumed head-coaching duties in Brown's absence.
