Adam Kennedy put on 60-day DL

The Los Angeles Dodgers put infielder Adam Kennedy on the 60-day disabled list with a strained right groin, ending Kennedy's 2012 season and -- possibly -- his career.

To replace Kennedy, the Dodgers have reinstated shortstop Dee Gordon from the 60-day disabled list.

Kennedy, 36, hit .262 in 86 games for the Dodgers this season, making 25 starts at third base and 40 at third, with the team going 24-16 in those games. Kennedy started Friday's game in San Francisco and went 1 for ...
